About Me

I am thrilled to welcome you and your child to our classroom for this exciting new school year! My name is Karen Danielson, and I am honored to be your child’s 6th grade math teacher. I’m looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

A little about me: I have 25 years of experience in education, and my passion for teaching comes from my love of helping students discover their unique talents and abilities. I hold a Bachelors in Education from The University of Minnesota-Duluth, and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Walden University. I am committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where each child can thrive.

In our classroom, we will focus on fostering a growth mindset, encouraging creativity, and promoting teamwork. I believe that every child has the potential to achieve great things, and I am dedicated to providing the support and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.

Open communication between home and school is vital for student success. I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or insights about your child. Your partnership is invaluable, and I look forward to working together to ensure a positive and productive year.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, hiking, spending time with family and friends, going for walks on the waterfront, listening to music, and cheering on the Portland Winterhawks hockey team. I especially love bragging about my two sons (19 and 23).
