About Me
Welcome to 6th Science! My name is Brian Walsh and this is my fifth year at Tukes Valley Middle School. Prior to TVM, my wife and I taught in Portland-based schools. Over the past 10+ years, I have taught 6th-8th grade social studies, technology, math and science, as well as 5th grade for four years. My wife is currently teaching 5th grade math and science at another school in Battle Ground.
My wife and I are blessed to have three children, two sons and a daughter. With our expanding family, we decided to make the move north for a quieter pace of life and a family friendly environment. In our free time, we enjoy camping, sports (Go Blazers, Beavers, and Seahawks!) and spending time with our families nearby.
I feel very fortunate to be part of this vibrant community of learners and educators! If at any time during the year you find yourself needing support or would like to discuss concerns you have regarding the content being taught or your child’s performance, please reach out to me. I am a resource for both our students and our parents as they navigate their transition to 6th grade.
